KOOP AT-BG Project Bilateral Conference, 29-30.09.2011

On 29-30 September 2011, the “Sredets” ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in Sofia hosted an international conference within the framework of the bilateral project for cooperation between Austria and Bulgaria in the field of labor market policy – “KOOP AT-BG 2009-2011”. The topic of the forum was “Europe 2020 and National Labour Market Policies – Strategies and Implementation Measures in Austria and Bulgaria.”

The conference was attended by Totyu Mladenov, Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Bulgaria, Rudolf Hundstorfer, Federal Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Austria, Jean-Louis de Brouwer from DG "Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion" of the European Commission, Deyana Kostadinova, deputy-minister of Labor and Social Policy, Gerhard Reiweger, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria, as well as representatives of MLSP and the social partners. The presentations at the forum facilitated discussions and the exchange of best practices in relation to the priorities and measures of the national labour market policies in the context of the goal of  the “Europe 2020” strategy for achievement of smart, sustainable and integrative growth.
