Regional Economy

Projects developed in the field of regional economy are related to the new legislation for regional reform and policies. Club “Economika 2000” has drawn up and submitted several methodologies to the Bulgarian authorities which help to determine the spatial and socio-economic differences across regions in Bulgaria, exhibiting diverse patterns of development. A practically oriented focus of the study on the regional economy is the organization of local finance, and local self-government in the individual municipalities. Local administrations are being assisted in designing their regional development programs. The socio-economic development of areas that include a population of ethnic mix is a particular subject of research. Club "Economika 2000" creates strategies for socio-economic development of separate regions and municipalities in Bulgaria.
